This picture was taken in this late fall. These small pollen cones fallen on the ground began to rot. I remember the cones can be used as herb medicine. Also we buy bottles of ginkgo leaves extract as presents.
My college had two female ginkgo trees right outside the student center, which was situated so that it was impossible to get anywhere on campus without passing by those dang trees. Oh BOY did they stink.

I too have heard of the use of Ginkgo. And this is a lovely photo, even without making use of them.

Ughhhhh. I remember the smell of those things.
